According to various sources a 6 year old boy from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India was attacked by a dog in January 2013 and started to display symptoms of rabies within 3 days. The boy reportedly bit 5 members of his family before he died in June of 2013 including both parents, his grandmother, his aunt and an uncle. All family members were treated for rabies however the uncle is said to have developed symptoms of the disease.

10 days after being bitten by a dog, 47-year-old Gurdial Singh, began to display uncharacteristically aggressive behavior and was taken to Civil Hospital in Ludhiana, India. According to hospital staff, Gurdial was agitated and bit a 25 year old patient lying in the bed next to him.
The patient was referred to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala for further treatment as Civil Hospital does not have a dedicated rabies ward.
Gurdial works as a laborer at the Focal Point area where the stray dog bit him.
